Leominster is the start of the Black & White Trail and dates from the 6th century with medieval streets, and is renowned for its antique shops and auctions.

The city of Hereford has one of Englands oldest cathederals which is home to a national treasure, the Mappa Mundi and an ancient chained library. There is a covered daily market and a livestock market every Wednesday.

Hay-on-Wye is world famous for its large number of second hand book shops and its annual Literary Festival which attracts many of the worlds leading international writers, critics, historians, playwrights and commentators.

Ludlow has an ancient castle, a wide range of interesting shops and holds open-air markets in the town square on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays with a flea market on some Sundays.

Kington is on the Offas Dyke Path and the Mortimer Trail and is popular with walkers.
